Again, graphics are simular to the mentioned Super meat boy how ever I do see some retro inspired scenes from the likes of Mario, Sonic and from what i'd say Rick Dangerous at present stage im at in this game so far, Its a nice nod and was nice to see in this game. Sound effects and music are ...good, to okay. the sound track is good and catchy and sound effects are okay, I feel the wizard should of been voiced with this type of game, As you're playing he is talking to you through dialog on screen which with the camera moving all over the place is often unreadable, its not game breaking but still annoying.Game play is fun, I really enjoyed it, when you die your dead corpse stays at the place of death, allbeit subject to physics which is welcome in some respects. This you can use to your advantage to overcome more of the challenging parts of the mazes you encounter, I really enjoyed this feature as often I don't have the skills to throw this guy around easily and this feature was a god send at times and I found myself figuring out how to use my deaths in a positive manner, kudos to the team with this part. I must say the controls are only slightly less responsive then Meat boy but changing from mechanical keyboard to controller helped alot. This game is a merit and a evolution of the type of genre it is placed in, Although still Challenging it's certainly more forgiving then its rivals, This makes Rude bear, in my opinion a much more enjoyable experience, on top due to its throw backs to retro gaming and more varied play grounds!
